យោងតាមលោក Barrientos ចាប់តាំងតែពីមេបក្សប្រឆាំងវេណេហ្សុអេឡា លោក Juan Guaido ដែលមានអាមេរិកជាខ្នងបង្អែក បានលើកខ្លួនឯងជាប្រធានាធិបតីស្តីទីរបស់ប្រទេសអាមេរិកឡាទីនមួយនេះ កាលពីខែមករាដើមឆ្នាំនេះ បណ្តាធនាគារនៅអាមេរិក និងអឺរ៉ុប បានបង្កកលុយរាប់ពាន់លានដុល្លាររបស់រដ្ឋាភិបាលលវេណេហ្សុអេឡា។ បន្ថែមពីនេះ ទីក្រុងវ៉ាស៊ីនតោន ក៏បានរាំងខ្ទប់ ទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិរបស់ក្រុមហ៊ុនប្រេងរដ្ឋវេណេស៊ុយអេឡា PDVSA និងដាក់ទណ្ឌកម្មទៅលើក្រុមហ៊ុននេះផងដែរ។លោក Barrientos បាន និយាយ ដូច្នេះថា «ពាក់ព័ន្ធការដាក់ទណ្ឌកម្មនិងការរាំងខ្ទប់សេដ្ឋកិច្ចទាំងនេះ វេណេហ្សុអេឡាបានខាត បង់ប្រមាណជា ៣០ពាន់លានដុល្លារ ក្នុងអំឡុងពេលត្រឹមតែ០៣ខែកន្លងទៅនេះប៉ុណ្ណោះ»។
